This residential space, designed by GP Design, offers a unique and warm living environment with a focus on delicate details. The use of marble, with its beautiful natural texture, adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the space. Combined with solid wood, it not only enhances the aesthetics but also adds functionality to the overall design.
The use of wooden veneer and green plants in the void area brings the space closer to nature. The walls are adorned with wallpaper and hard packs, while the floor is made from a combination of marble tiles and solid wood. Metal and glass elements are also incorporated throughout the space, adding a modern touch.
The connection between the dining room and the sunken courtyard creates an open and spacious feel. The neutral colors of the sofa and coffee table serve as the main focal points, providing a sense of stability and harmony within the space. Linen sofas and seats offer a rustic and intimate touch, creating a sense of belonging.
Gold accents, from the white marble side tables to the tea-colored coffee tables and even the ceiling lines, add a subtle and understated elegance to the overall design. These elements serve as embellishments, showcasing the low-key sophistication of the space.
Yango Tanyuan is not only visually appealing but also functional. The warm and elegant palette, combined with metal-stroke textured furniture in warm orange tones, adds a touch of luxury to the space. The artistic ornaments and decorations create a humanistic and artistic living environment.
The project was designed in 2018 and completed in 2019 in Shaoxing city, Zhejiang Province, China. The design team aimed to create a quiet living space where people can find the joy of life. One of the challenges faced during the design process was a beam in the master bedroom that limited the ceiling height. To overcome this, the design team implemented an upturning beam structure, ensuring the height of the master bedroom was not compromised.
Yango Tanyuan has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate resourcefulness and authenticity, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. Yango Tanyuan exemplifies these qualities, contributing to the improvement of quality of life and making the world a better place.
